The black and white coloring of the magpie associates them to the world of magic, prophecy and witchcraft. Their wisdom as a totem includes seeing in the darkness, understanding the balance of light and dark and understanding messages from the spirit. The magpie suggests that we should pay attention to subtle omens that appear in our lives and act accordingly so opportunities are not missed.
This magpie helped me to find THEUNSEEN when I recognised that their plumage is the same as mine.
